Pre and post operative

PREOPERATIVE
Stop smoking at least 30 days prior to surgery.
Do not abuse on alcohol or drugs.
Avoid using medicines containing AAS (acid acetylsalicylic) because they increase the bleeding.
Interrupt the use of formulas to lose weight 30 days before your surgery.

Take to the hospital your hairbrush, toothbrush, wide clothes, elastic mesh pants, and blouses having buttons as well as sunglasses (in case of eyelid surgery).
Always buy two belts. They always happen to get dirty and while one is being washed you can use the other one.
The companion is extremely important.

POSTOPERATIVE

Go home with the car seat quite low.
Have healthy meals, and be hydrated appropriately. It is a good sign when the urine goes out quite clear!
Diets in this phase can be harmful.
The first shower must be lukewarm and with a stool always near. Dizziness is very common, but is goes away within one to two days. Nausea usually occurs, due to pressure drop. When this happens, lie down or place your head almost between the knees. Soon the nausea passes.

The dressings must be removed after 24 hours and the scars washed with water and toilet soap foam.
When any balm is necessary, we will recommend it.
The scars must always be dry. Wet dressings are not good.
The releases as to the activities and physical exercises are done in accordance with each patient's recovery, in the postoperative appointments.
The stitch removal does not hurt nor bleeds.
