Although big breasts are in fashion, people who suffer from mammary hypertrophy (they have breasts bigger than normal) are not satisfied by their appearance either. After all, they suffer constant spine problems and often feel embarrassed even by wearing bikinis or tight blouses that expose this part of the body. The Mastoplasty Reduction (surgery for mammary reduction) is the most requested by women, contradicting the idea of which only those implanting silicone prostheses can have a plastic surgery.
The intervention can be performed from age of 15, when the growth has already reached its very state. The surgery is simple and takes two hours on average. Among the most used techniques to reduce the volume of the breasts there is a surgery named "inverted T". Created by famous plastic surgeon Dr. Ivo Pitanguy, this technique consists of a cut around the areola, a cut in the mammary furrow and another one tying the first two.
The result is a “T”-shaped scar. The two other techniques are those who leave scars in "L" and "I" shapes. In all cases, the surgeon will take the maximum care to prevent any useless scar. After a while, the scars gain an aspect of a whitish very discreet line. The stay in the clinic varies from 8 to 24 hours. After-surgery care includes wearing a dressing in the place for 24 hours and wearing a modeling bra for two months, which must be worn day and night. The return to the normal activities is also quite quick. The next day from the surgery you will already be able to take a shower alone; five days later it is possible to type in the computer and after 10 days you will be allowed to leave your house already. Physical exercises will be allowed after one month. After the recovery period, you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and to see the outstanding difference in your body. Besides, your spine will be more relieved, your shyness of wearing tight blouses will have gone away, and you will be able to celebrate it by going to the beach with a quite small bikini.
