The technique varies according to the quantity of breast to be removed. If it is not much, it is possible to remodel the breast only. Another alternative for cases of medium or big breasts is to use the mammary tissue of the lower part of the breast itself to fill out the depression. It leaves a vertical or inverted "T"-shaped scar, and another one in the place of the reconstruction when the incision is located in the upper part of the breast. If a big area is removed, the solution is to transport the fat and the skin from the back or from the area below the armpit to the breast. In the cases in which the quality of the skin is good, it is possible further to elect for prosthesis implant. But in most cases it is necessary to remodel the other breast too, in order to even up the pair.
