Blepharoplasty is a simple and quick surgery. The physician removes a quantity of skin in ellipse form from the upper eyelids, and the bags of fat that are formed both in the upper and lower eyelids (in general, two in the upper part and three in the lower one). The location and form of the elliptical incision can vary regarding the corner of the eyes, in accordance with the surgeon’s purpose and artistic sensibility. The quantity of skin removed varies from patient to patient, but it is always bigger in the upper eyelids. The anesthesia used for this type of surgery is local, together with a light sedative to make the patient calmer. There are cases in which the patient goes home immediately after the surgery, being advised to rest for some hours so that the lump is smaller. Facial Surgeries
