Every woman wishes to get rid of that unwanted "little belly", especially when she decides to wear a bikini or a shorter blouse. In some cases the liposuction can solve the problem, but in others, only a plastic surgery can give you that flat belly that you have always dreamed of. The abdominal plastic surgery is indicated in the cases in which, besides the accrued fat, the skin of the belly is already flabby. The abdominoplasty or dermolipectomy (technical names of this surgery) takes about two hours and is performed with epidural anesthesia in most cases. It is not necessary more than one day of admission in the clinic. When back home, the patient will only have to be careful with the dressings. The recovery is usually similar to that of a Caesarian operation. The scar left by this surgery is usually not small, which frightens some women, but it can easily be hidden under the panties and the bikini. After the seventh or eighth month this mark usually becomes a whitish line. Another after-surgery care is that the patient will have to walk bended during the first days because the skin will be quite stretched. Activities demanding bigger physical effort such as driving and gymnastic can only be resumed after 30 days. At first the recovery seems hard, but the result certainly pays.
